Roadside safety check planned in Huntley
HUNTLEY – The Illinois State Police and the Huntley Police Department will conduct a roadside safety check in Huntley on Friday evening.
Officers will watch for drunken drivers, those transporting open liquor, those operating unsafe vehicles, and those driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license.
The roadside safety check is part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign and is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The grant is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
