Benjamin F. Edwards founder to greet clients

WOODSTOCK – Benjamin F. Edwards IV, founder and CEO of Benjamin F. Edwards & Co., a St. Louis-based investment firm, will meet with local clients and celebrate the opening of their new office at 11621 Catalpa Lane, Woodstock.

He will be joined by Dennis Anderson, senior vice president – investments, and branch manager.

The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Benjamin F. Edwards IV is the great-great-grandson of Albert Gallatin Edwards, the founder of A.G. Edwards, and the son of Benjamin F. Edwards III, the long-time chairman of the investment firm and the man widely-credited for establishing the company’s client-friendly business practices.

Edwards, a 30-year industry veteran, started Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. in 2008 with the intention of adhering to the client-friendly business model advocated by his father, Ben, the man for whom the company is named. The company opened its Woodstock location in January. In addition to Woodstock, the firm has 32 branches nationally, including seven others in Illinois.
