Fire damages North Barrington home

NORTH BARRINGTON – A house fire in North Barrington on Wednesday night caused about $150,000 worth the damage, according to the Wauconda Fire District.

Crews were called to a residence in the first block of Kensington Drive at around 7:10 p.m. for a report of a structure fire, according to a news release. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the roof of the two-story home.

The fire was under control in approximately 30 minutes.

All those inside the home made it out safely, and no one was injured during the incident, the release states. Damage was estimated at about $150,000.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Wauconda received assistance from Lake Zurich, Nunda Rural, Long Grove, Round Lake, Buffalo Grove, Barrington Countryside, Cary, Fox River Grove, Grayslake and Lake Villa.
