MCC offers two leadership training series

McHENRY – McHenry County College Workforce Training Program partners with Development Dimensions International for two leadership series – Frontline Leadership and Supervisory Leadership.

The Frontline Leadership is appropriate for individuals who carry out the strategies formulated in the executive suite. All courses are scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon at McHenry County College Shah Center in McHenry. The course topics include Essentials of Leadership on July 11, Working as a High Performance Team on July 18,  Motivating Others on July 25, Building Winning Partnerships on Aug. 1, Making Meetings Work on Aug. 8, Managing Performance Problems on Aug. 15 and Rapid Decision Making on Aug. 22. Participants can register for individual courses or the entire seven-week series. The fee for an individual course is $155.  The series fee is discounted by 15 percent at $922. 

Supervisory Leadership courses are ideal for those who are in transition from individual contributor to leader and want to strengthen their interpersonal skills. Series topics include: Essentials of Leadership on July 24, Getting Started as a New Leader on July 31, Resolving Conflict on Aug. 7, Delegating for Results on Aug.14, Setting Performance Expectations on Aug. 21, Reviewing Performance Progress on Aug. 28, Coaching for Success on Sept. 4 and Achieving Your Leadership Potential on Sept. 11. Fee for an individual course is $155.  The eight-course series fee is discounted by 15 percent at $1,054.
