WOODSTOCK – A former Wonder Lake man accused of sexual contact with a minor will remain in custody on a six-figure bond.

McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather on Tuesday denied a bond reduction for Evan A. Staron, 27, of Antioch. He's accused of sexual contact with a female family member, who was younger than 13 years old at the time.

Staron remains at McHenry County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

He was charged June 28 with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony. Assistant State's Attorney Robert Zalud said additional family members have come forward with similar allegations.

The investigation is ongoing.
