The Friends of MCC Foundation raised $46,400 at its June golf invitational. All proceeds will be used to support student scholarships. During the event, John Huber of Watlow qualified as the finalist in the $10,000 Putting Contest and made the 50-foot putt to win the $10,000 grand prize.

During the dinner portion of the event, MCC student scholarship recipients Lucas Broling of Marengo and Jane Hemstreet of Crystal Lake shared the importance of receiving the scholarships to help meet their educational goals.
