Pace to present Ventra details at Crystal Lake event

CRYSTAL LAKE – Pace and CTA recently announced that select users will begin using the Ventra fare payment system in August with a full rollout coming to all Pace fixed bus route and CTA riders in September.

Pace will hold a series of meetings at which customers can learn more about the new system, the timeline for the transition and have the opportunity to ask questions.

In McHenry County, the meeting will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Crystal Lake Municipal Center, 100 W. Woodstock St.

Formal public hearings will take place later in the fall to discuss changes to Pace’s fare policies that are under development.

It’s important to note that base fares will remain the same and there are no fees to use Ventra to pay for transit fares.
