Sizzling Summer Book Sale set at Algonquin library

ALGONQUIN – The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library will host their Sizzling Summer Book Sale July 18-21 at the library’s Eastgate Branch at 115 Eastgate Drive.

The sale will run from 4 to 7 p.m. July 18. There is a $10 entry fee per person on this day only. The sale continues from 4 to 8 p.m. July 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20 and from 1 to 4 p.m. July 21, which also is half-price day.

The group's sales are consistently rated "exceptional" on Book Sale Finder, www.booksalefinder.com

Some 30,000 items are ready for browsing and feature holiday books for adults and children. Most books, donated by the public or withdrawn from the library collection, will be priced at $1 to $2 or less.

Special books, DVDs, CDs, CD books and video games will be marked at $2 and up.

A "Book Bistro" hospitality room next door offers browsers a chance to take a break and buy gift books and jigsaw puzzles.

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization that raises money through three book sales per year and the in-house Book Nook. All the money collected benefits the library.
