Crime Stoppers seeks information in fireworks incidents

CRYSTAL LAKE – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information involving criminal damage to state supported property, a news release said.

Between July 10 and July 12, the police department had several reports of fireworks being ignited in or around the gasoline nozzle of several unoccupied vehicles.

The incidents took place in the southern part of Crystal Lake, according to the news release.

Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and filing of criminal charges against offenders.

People with information about the incidents can call 800-762-STOP (7867). Tips can be texted anonymously to “TIP411” (847411) with the keyword “TIPCLPD.”
