Culinary classes offered at MCC

CRYSTAL LAKE – Summer tarts, pies and vegetarian cooking are highlights of upcoming noncredit culinary classes offered by McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department.

The classes will be at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road in Crystal Lake. 

• Summer Tarts: Participants will learn to make seasonally inspired tarts, as well as the techniques for creating tarts at home. This course will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. July 29. Register using course ID: NCU S53 007.  

• Vegetarian Cooking: This class is for anyone interested in learning in how to cook creatively with vegetables. It will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. July 31. Register using course ID: NCU S96 007.  

• Summer Pies: Participants will learn to make seasonally inspired pies, as well as techniques for creating pies at home. The class will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 1. Register using course ID: NCU S93 008.
