Need more like Franks

To the Editor:

I was glad to see that state Rep. Jack Franks could join us in Wonder Lake’s annual Independence Day celebration.

A few days before the parade, Jack knocked on my door to see if there were any issues I wanted to discuss, and we had a pleasant conversation for more than 10 minutes. I have never known another public official to work so hard being available for the people that he represents.

Franks’ participation in the event in a nonelection year says a lot about his commitment to the communities in McHenry County. Jack works for us 365 days a year, and is always available to answer my questions or listen to my concerns. I sincerely wish that other elected officials took the same approach to public service; our county, state and country would be in much better shape.
