Radiothon support

To the Editor:

With only weeks away from our Eighth Annual Take a Stand for Turning Point Radiothon, we would like to thank the community sponsors who continue to help make our event happen every year.

Sage is returning as a presenting sponsor.

Also returning this year is McDonald’s as the donation hotline sponsor. Centegra Health System, Home State Bank, Alliance Contractors and Mercy Health System also are sponsoring the radiothon again.

We are excited to welcome Medela and Prudential First Realty of Crystal Lake as new sponsors. We, of course, could not have the radiothon without the tremendous support from Star 105.5 and Sam’s Club in Crystal Lake.

Aug. 16 and 17 are approaching fast, but there is still time to follow in the footsteps of these community sponsors and help out. Contact me if you would like more information regarding sponsorship.

This is a family friendly event, and we encourage families to come enjoy the activities and games on Friday and Saturday. If you are interested in volunteering as in individual or as a family, call Jennifer Kenning at 815-338-8081.

Turning Point is the only comprehensive domestic violence shelter and agency working to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Sam’s Club in August. If you visit any of the sponsors, please thank them for their community support.
