RICHMOND – The Tour de Kids Quatre is going farther to help families who have children with cancer – literally.

The bicycle ride fundraiser is offering a third, longer course for the fourth annual event, said David Kielpinski, vice president of the nonprofit It’s All About Kids.

In addition to the family friendly 16-mile course and a 29-mile course, organizers also will offer a 40-mile course. The event starts at 9 a.m. July 27 at Doyle’s Pub, 5604 Mill St., Richmond. Music will be provided after the ride, starting at 11 a.m., by the Thompson Duo.

Registration forms are available at www.itsallaboutkids.info and can be sent to It’s All About Kids, P.O. Box 2373, Crystal Lake, IL 60039. Same day registration also will be available on site.

The cost is $25 per person, or $60 for a family of up to two adults and two children. The registration packet includes T-shirts, water bottles and coupons.

It’s All About Kids is a nonprofit charity that raises money to help McHenry County families who have a child with cancer cover their expenses. Its goal is to provide financial aid to one family in each McHenry County school district.
