Former Johnsburg athletic director Trevor Leopold has left the school to take an AD position with at West Seattle (Wash.) High School.

Leopold emailed administrators and teachers in District 12 Monday about his move. He grew up in Seattle from ages 7 through 14 and will be near his mother and a brother.

Leopold worked at Johnsburg's AD for the past two years.

"Everybody at Johnsburg's been really great," Leopold said. "I have a lot of good relationships there. I emailed the ADs around the Fox Valley Conference and they all wished me luck."

Johnsburg principal Kevin Shelton said his school does not have an assistant AD, so District 12 is quickly searching for a successor.
