Public art project raises money for Marengo Main Street

MARENGO – Businesses and individuals have sponsored Adirondack chairs and artists with donations to Marengo Main Street Inc.

The chairs then were painted with original themes to become works of art.

Chairs are being placed throughout downtown Marengo for display and the enjoyment of those who visit.

As a fundraiser for the operations and projects of Marengo Main Street, the chairs are available via a silent auction throughout the summer.

Bids are being taken at www.marengomainstreet.org or in person at Flatlander Market, 125 S State St., Marengo.
