A Carpentersville home was damaged after it caught fire Wednesday afternoon.

CARPENTERSVILLE – A Carpentersville home was damaged after it caught fire Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m. the Carpentersville Fire Department responded to 108 Golfview Lane where a home was on fire. The blaze started in the basement of the home, according to the Carpentersville Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The family was home, but no one was injured in the fire.

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Department also responded to the scene.
