Gary Lang Auto Group’s annual Classic Car Show raised $2,870 for the McHenry County Salvation Army’s school supply drive. Pictured at the check presentation at Gary Lang Auto Group, 1107 S. Route 31, McHenry, are (from left); Garry Lowder, Linda Hunter-West and Major Nancy Lowder, all with the Salvation Army; and Gary Lang, president of Gary Lang Auto Group. Car show participants were asked to donate $5 per entry and bring school supplies to the event. Many people donated more than $5. The drive helps children in need get school supplies and a backpack. “We think it’s important to give back to the community that we serve,” Lang said. “And what better way is there to give back than to help children get the supplies they need to help them with their education?”
