WOODSTOCK – A Wonder Lake man received 4 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug charges.

Anthony L. Simon, 47, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. The substance was heroin.

A plea agreement was accepted Wednesday by McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather.

Simon was charged in Crystal Lake on April 13 with possessing more than 1 gram, but less than 15 grams of heroin. He was on drug court probation when he picked up the new drug charge. In 2011, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
