To the Editor:
This letter is in regard to the lousy customer service at the Harvard post office.
It always comes up with a way to charge postage due on incoming mail. Then when challenged, it always quotes rules, and it is always a canned response.
I order off eBay from time to time, and the post office doesn’t seem to realize that some eBayers qualify for a reduced rate.
But the Harvard post office seems to try and make up the difference on its end.
It has no way of knowing the company gets a reduced rate.
I wanted to mail a thank-you letter to Lake Geneva from Harvard, and I was told it would take five to seven days. That is not very good service.
The post office wonders why it is losing money and customers. I do not use the post office unless absolutely necessary. I pay all of my bills online, and the majority of my correspondences is either via emails or phone calls.
I will continue to use the post office only when necessary because of its lousy customer service.
