WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock man faces felony charges after more than $10,000 worth of drugs were found in his vehicle and home, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

Paul M. Sova, 20, was charged on Wednesday with felony counts of possession of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver.

Deputies assigned to the Intelligence Led Policing Unit pulled over Sova on Wednesday near the intersection of Todd and Wheeler streets and found a small bag of cannabis and bag of Hydrocodone pills, according to a news release.

After receiving consent to search Sova’s home, deputies also recovered 11 Hydrocodone pills, a digital scale, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia, the news release states. The drugs are worth more than $10,000.

Sova has since been released from the McHenry County Jail after posting 10 percent of his $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
