Village human resources director graduates from FEMA academy

ALGONQUIN – Village Human Resources Director Todd Walker recently graduated from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Emergency Management Academy in Emmitsburg, Md.

Walker took academy training courses that provided basic knowledge and skills to help meet the challenges in the field of emergency management, according to a news release from FEMA.

He completed five courses: Foundations of Emergency Management, Science of Disaster, Planning: Emergency Operations, Exercise Design, and Public Information and Warning.

Walker underwent 171 hours of training.
