Safe stolen from Crystal Lake thrift shop

CRYSTAL LAKE - The Bethesda Thrift Shop off of Route 14 in Crystal Lake was burglarized during the overnight hours on Friday, according to the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Someone entered the store, located at 26 Crystal Lake Plaza, and stole a safe containing an undisclosed amount of money and other items, police Cmdr. Derek Hyrkas said.

He declined to release further information about the incident, as the investigation is ongoing.

There were no suspects as of Tuesday morning.
