To the Editor:
I can’t believe anyone has a problem with the Harvard post office (It’s Your Write, “Unhappy with post office,” Aug. 5).
The people who work there are always friendly and helpful. They mark, post and ship all my packages to my son in New York, and they always arrive in a few days with regular postage. Whether I am mailing pictures to Cincinnati, Ohio, or Bloomington, they always make sure to put the correct postage on the envelope to save me the embarrassment of having postage due. I pay all my bills via the post office because I don’t trust the privacy of the Internet. Just read the paper or watch the news about all the theft and hacking on the Web.
I can’t believe anyone would bash the Harvard employees. Those people are our friends and neighbors and always do the best they can. I find it sad that some people have to lash out at good people because they wouldn’t bend the rules in their favor. By the way, a letter to Lake Geneva takes one to two days if you mail it early in the morning.
