To the Editor:
It has been said that homosexuality is passed from parent to child and that autopsies of male homosexual brains show similarities to female brains. This is passed off as proof that homosexuality is genetic. Using comparative anatomy of decedents to prove a hypothesis one cannot know if the similarity was the cause of the behavior or the result of the behavior.
The precedent has been confused with the antecedent. It is just as plausible that homosexual behavior caused the structural changes to the brain. It has been shown that the brain is quite amenable to adaptation and change. Why else would we be encouraged to exercise the little gray cells to help ward of loss of brain function.
The scripture referred to about “judging not” is convenient for those not wanting to be judged. It releases them from having to answer for their behavior. The actual scripture does not tell us to not judge but rather to be careful how we judge, for by the standard we use in judging we will also be judged. The whole quote is “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way that you judge you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.” Matthew 7:1&2, NAS Bible.
Stating that God made homosexuals is not correct. God created them male and female, mankind makes homosexuals. It is a choice not an inherited trait. God will judge.
