Mills replaces Webb at right tackle in practice

Whether it's an indictment of the way J'Marcus Webb played or a positive step for rookie Jordan Mills – or both – we won't know until after practice, but Mills lined up as the first-team right tackle at Sunday's practice.

Webb gave up a sack Friday in the preseason opener at Carolina, and coach Marc Trestman said the team wants more consistency from him. Webb lined up as the second-team left tackle.

Mills and Kyle Long played the most snaps Friday, and Long also opened practice with the 1's at right guard.

Joe Anderson, Harvey Unga and Jonathan Scott are not practicing. Earl Bennett (concussion) is not present, neither is Henry Melton, who suffered a concussion against the Panthers. Corey Wootton is limited to individual drills.
