CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College will offer a general electric code class focusing on commercial sites, and one-and two-family residences this fall.

This course will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 through Dec. 12 at the Woodstock Center, 912 Trakk Lane, Woodstock.

Information provided in this combination residential/commercial electrical class will help students understand the National Electrical Code and make accurate, thorough and safe installations or inspections relating to residential and commercial sites.

It also prepares students to take the International Code Council’s Electrical Exam. Participants must bring a calculator and a copy of the NEC Code Book to class. The textbook is included in the $295 cost of the course. Continuing Education Units will be issued for this training.
