WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock man was arrested Wednesday in connection with sexually assaulting a girl younger than 13.
Pablo R. Torres, 55, of Woodstock, is charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony.
The Woodstock Police Department initiated a predatory criminal sexual assault investigation June 17 after the minor reported she was assaulted by Torres, who was living in in the same house at the time, according to a release from the department.
Woodstock police worked with the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office, Child Advocacy Center of Woodstock and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to obtain a warrant for Torres' arrest.
He was transported to the McHenry County jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
