Don’t bother

To the Editor:

The Northwest Herald should not bother running articles on the goings-on of the McHenry County Board.

If I remember correctly, the Northwest Herald noted that Ken Koehler, Nick Provenzano, Tina Hill, Jon Jung and Mark Munaretto all violated provisions of the Open Meetings Act.

Yet the Northwest Herald still endorsed them for re-election. So why are you surprised that Chairwoman Tina Hill would pick longtime insider Al Jourdan to the RTA Board?

Jourdan has been around a long time. In fact, you might say he is a permanent fixture.

Hill says she really needs him. But as state Rep. Jack Franks was saying, this is just another example of “good ol’ boy” politics in McHenry County.

Nothing will change, but I guess that’s the idea isn’t it?
