Come see what’s under the big top.
The Harvard Chamber of Commerce will host the Kelly Miller Circus Sept. 8 at Milkyway Park.
This spectacular family event is not only beneficial for the community, but also our members. Join Mercy Harvard Hospital and Harvard State Bank in sponsoring our circus. Sponsors will get their name and logos displayed on banners and announcements at both shows. Hosting these events helps the chamber with its finances, so we can continue to offer new benefits and economical membership dues.
The community is invited, at no charge, at 9 a.m. to witness the raising of the big top tent by the enormous and powerful elephants. This is a great way to watch the top go up and meet some of the circus staff and animals.
There also is a coloring contest for children younger than age 11. Coloring sheets will be distributed at local schools and at the chamber office.
Stop by Harvard Savings Bank, Castle Bank, Woodforest National Bank (in the Harvard Wal-Mart) or Harvard State Bank to buy an advance ticket. You’ll also have an opportunity to guess how many peanuts are in the jar for a chance to win a family pass to the circus.
Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children younger than age 12. Children younger than age 2 get in free. Tickets also are available at the chamber office.
No advance tickets will be sold on the day of the circus.
On the day of the circus, tickets will cost $15 for adults and $7 for children. The show times are 2 and 5 p.m.
