To the Editor:
Regarding the left-turn-onto-East-Street debate in Crystal Lake, I have been following this story with some amusement.
Seems the residents of this area are a little upset because their left turn onto this street has been taken away. I, too, live In Crystal Lake. I, too, have to turn left onto my street. But I can’t, why? Because there is a concrete median there. What ever shall I do?
Simple. I go up to the next street, turn left and come back onto my street. But I guess I have been doing this wrong, because I have not alerted the media, the mayor and the township people regarding this. I have not wasted taxpayers’ money on meetings, etc.
And using emergency vehicles as an excuse doesn’t fly. If they need to get to you, they will. If this is your only problem, people, you are lucky. Time to get over it. It’s just a left turn, for goodness sake.
