Published: Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 11:06 p.m. CDT

CARPENTERSVILLE – District 300 launched its first mobile application Friday that will allow parents and students to access district information directly on their smartphones.

The D-300 mobile app is available for free in both Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store. The app allows anyone interested in the Carpentersville-based school district to receive updates on district news, school sports and special events.

The app allows individuals to stay up-to-date on district board meeting dates, early school releases and late start days.

Students and parents can access a secure site through the app to check assignments and academic progress.

To learn about the app, visit District 300’s website at www.d300.org to watch a three-minute tutorial.
