WEST DUNDEE – The Fox River Valley Public Library District invites residents to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the Randall Oaks Branch Library with special activities Saturday.

The branch is on the lower level of the Randall Oaks Recreation Center, 500 N. Randall Road.

The branch will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will host two special storytimes at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. They are geared for 2- to 6-year-olds, but all are welcome.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a Dr. Seuss scavenger hunt, a penny candy guessing game and hands-on crafts.

“Looking back on our first year, I am very pleased with the progress we’ve made and the positive reception from residents," Branch Manager Nancy Kendzior said in a news release.
