Huntley High hosts sports kickoff event at new football stadium

Huntley High School will open its newly renovated football stadium to the community Friday, as part of the second annual Red Raider Sports Kickoff event.

Students, parents, staff and Huntley High football fans can watch the school's Red and Black squads scrimmage each other on the newly installed synthetic turf from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, at the refurbished football stadium, 13719 Harmony Rd. Attendees can again watch prep football, win prizes and enjoy the concessions.

People interested in attending the scrimmage are being asked to bring one personal item, such as toothpaste, shampoo, paper towels, as an admission fee. The items will be donated to the Grafton Township Pantry. People are also encouraged to show-off their "Red Raider pride," which is the theme for this year's kickoff event.
