Lifetree Film Fest support

Published: Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

I wanted to thank the community for their support of the first Lifetree Film Festival in Crystal Lake.

The film fest raised $565.86 to help support homelessness in our area through PADS. Our local Lifetree Film Fest was recorded as the largest Lifetree event in the country. It is so nice to see people able to support a good cause while enjoying themselves.

I would like to offer special thanks to sponsors Willow Creek Crystal Lake, 1 North Banquets and Conference Center, Jersey Mike’s, Regal Movie Theater, McHenry Outdoor Theater, That’s Amore Pizza, Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters, St. Paul’s Christian Preschool and Savory Foods.

Lifetree Cafe at Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters is hoping to bring another film festival to the community in 2014 to again help in “doing life, doing good.” All Lifetree Cafes will be assisting with needed donations for homelessness in the area for the month of September.

Thank you in advance to a community that cares.
