Mr. and Mrs. Evans

ALGONQUIN – Bob and Bunny Evans of Algonquin will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Bunny Lane and Robert Evans were married Sept. 4, 1948, at St. Viator Catholic Church in Chicago. They first lived in Iowa City, Iowa, after their marriage.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a navigator on a B-24 bomber and flew more than 20 missions over Italy.

They are active in Forever Young Seniors at St. Margaret Mary Church in Algonquin and the FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville. Both enjoy traveling and have made trips to Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Panama and Hawaii.

They have a son, Bob (Sue) Evans of Cary; and three daughters, Jo Anne Evans of Algonquin, Mary Beth (Dave Woolard) Evans of Anna and Eileen (Tom) Kubica of Bensenville.

They also have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
