ALGONQUIN – The main library on Harnish Drive is scheduled to be closed Tuesday through Thursday as construction crews work on the entryway.
As part of the overall library lobby renovation, workers will renovate the doorway area and offset the interior and exterior doors to minimize a wind-tunnel effect created by the current layout, according to a news release from the Algonquin Area Public Library District.
With the library closed Sunday and Monday for the Labor Day holiday, bringing the closure to five days, the library will waive those days when calculating overdue fines, the news release said.
The Eastgate Branch will remain open, except for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday for staff training.
Lobby renovations are scheduled to be completed by late September.
