CHICAGO – When it comes to U.S. involvement in Syria, Gov. Pat Quinn said he agrees with President Barack Obama’s approach.
Obama said he’ll seek congressional approval for military strikes against the Assad regime. He’s trying to rally support.
Quinn told reporters Sunday after a Labor Day weekend event in Chicago that he trusts Obama.
The Chicago Democrat was making stops at Labor Day events Monday like his 2014 Democratic challenger, former White House chief of staff Bill Daley.
Daley told The Associated Press Sunday that he agrees with Obama’s decision to take the matter to Congress. He said Obama has been criticized for not taking action and now it’s time for him to act.
Daley said people are asking about Syria, but there’s a lot of conflict with how they feel.
