To the Editor:
Let us compare Iraq/Syria as relates to WMDs. Both have/had WMDs. Even Bill Clinton when president stated Iraq had WMDs. Both dictators denied personally ordering the use of WMDs by their armed forces that they controlled. Both killed thousands of their citizens using WMDs. Both wounded many more than they killed using WMDs.
The left condemned President George W. Bush, saying Iraq was the wrong war, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons. Suddenly, the left is justifying the war on Syria. Why was one conflict condemned and the other is now being justified?
Imagine if the UN inspectors in Syria find out the WMDs used in Syria recently were the same WMDs as those shipped to Syria (as some U.S. intelligence reports stated at that time) by Iraq to keep them from the UN inspectors before the U.S. Congress (both parties) gave Bush the go-ahead for war.
