LAKE IN THE HILLS – The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department plans a teen trip to Statesville Haunted Prison.

The department is taking registrations through Sept. 16 for the trip on Oct. 10, when a mini-bus will take sixth- through 12th-graders to Crest Hill to brave the scariest haunted house around.

At the Statesville Haunted Prison, you will be forced to find your way through 23 maximum security cells and come eye to eye with more than 100 criminals who were too evil to die.
