Mayhem on roads

Published: Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 5:30 a.m. CST

To the Editor:

Seventy-five percent of the mayhem on the roadways is caused by speeding drivers. Also, the insurance companies are raising premiums for good drivers to pay for the reckless ones.

I wrote to state Rep. Jack Franks about this but did not get any reply. In a recent accident in northwest Indiana, seven people lost their lives.

The truck driver had received three tickets for speeding.

If a driver can’t learn to slow down with three speeding tickets, he should not be on the road period.
