McHENRY – As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, Gary Lang Auto Group invited customers in to see who has the oldest Gary Lang vehicle still on the road in their possession.

The contest had four entries – all Chevy trucks. The three runners-up all bought Chevy S-10 pick-ups: Joe Sawirstowski of McHenry, 1995 Chevy S-10; Mike Flathau of McHenry, 1994 Chevy S-10; and Dennis Dalby of McHenry, 1989 Chevy S-10. All were awarded a gift certificate for service work.

The grand-prize winner was Dennis Dalmann of Cary. He was given a check for $1,983, as Gary Lang Chevrolet opened in 1983. He and his wife used the truck to pull their boat to the Lake of the Ozarks for several years. Now, they use it to transport their tandem bicycle.

Gary Lang Auto Group is on Route 31 between Crystal Lake and McHenry. The dealership group carries many makes, including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Kia, Mitsubishi and Subaru.
