Roundup: Huntley girls golf undefeated

The Huntley girls golf team remained an undefeated 6-0 to start the season with a 194-203 victory over McHenry at Pincrest Golf Club in Huntley.

Three of the Red Raiders golfers shot in the 40s, including Gillian Young, who earned medalist honors with a 9-over-par 45 along with Zoe Dowell (47) and Lexi Lowitzki (49).

McHenry was led by Kailey Lindholm (48) and Abby Ross (50) in the nine-stroke loss.

Prairie Ridge 210, Johnsburg 232: At Nippersink in Genoa City, Wis., Brooke Johnson earned medalist honors as she shot a 48 for the Wolves while teammates Erin Wing (51), Tess Sabatini (52) and Anne Schulz (59) rounded out the scoring.

Johnsburg (2-6) was led by Emma Johnson's 52 while Jenna Seaver carded a 56.

Winnebago 235, Harvard 238: At Westlake Village in Winnebago, Kayleigh Isonhart led the Hornets with a 45 while Abby Linhart carded a 56 in the loss. Elizabeth Wright (68) and Sarah Brookner (69) were the other scoring golfers for Harvard.

TENNIS

Woodstock North 4, Elgin Academy 3: At Woodstock, Sierra Meiners won at No. 1 singles for the Thunder in a 6-2, 6-1 straight-set victory.

The Thunder also won three doubles matches, all straight-set wins, including a win from the No. 4 pair of Anna Gabrielson and Lulu Nicks.

Grayslake Central 6, Woodstock 1: At Grayslake, Ana Fedmasu won at No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-4) for the Blue Streaks in the team's only win. 

VOLLEYBALL

Huntley 2, Rosary 1: At Huntley, the Red Raiders (6-2) rebounded after a first-set loss to win the next two in a 24-26, 25-21, 25-6 victory.

Erin Lyman and Erin Erb led Huntley with 10 kills while Rachel Shores had 16 digs.
