Syrian policy

To the Editor:

After studying the geopolitical situation in Syria and the U.S. diplomatic efforts, our present situation easily can be summed up. Iran and Russia are backing Bashar al-Assad. Gulf states are against al-Assad.

Al-Assad is against the Muslim Brotherhood. Muslim Brotherhood and President Barack Obama are against Gen. Al-Sisi. Gulf States are pro-Hamas. Which means they are against Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama drew a red line, another red line, and then another red line on chemical weapons use. He said he didn’t need Congressional approval for military force, but that was before he asked Congress for the use of military force.

Iran is pro-Hamas, and Hamas is backing the Muslim Brotherhood! Obama is backing Muslim Brotherhood, yet Hamas is anti-U.S. The Libyan al-Qaida branch, who recently attacked our embassy in Libya, is supporting Syrian rebels. Obama is supporting Syrian rebels.

This sums up the Middle East and Obama’s diplomacy. Take two asprin and have a nice day.
