McHENRY – CrossFit Prevail celebrated its second year in business with numerous athletes taking on a special workout Sept. 7.
Athletes completed a series of movements, including box jumps, power cleans, burpees, kettlebell swings and pull-ups. All movements were scalable to the athlete’s fitness level. A number of kids also tackled a workout with a mixture of jump-roping, kettlebell swings, air squats and sprints.
Prevail runs more than 25 one-hour classes per week and trains athletes from novice to elite levels of fitness.
The Prevail Kids Fall session will be starting in the next few weeks.
Prevail is offering a free intro class at 10:15 a.m. Saturday. If interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot.
Starting in early October, Prevail will be running a 90-day performance and body recomposition challenge. This challenge will be focused on creating a healthy lifestyle for athletes, incorporating clean eating practices and high intensity training.
