Police: McHenry man caught with cocaine, marijuana

McHENRY – A McHenry man was charged after he was found with more than $7,000 worth of drugs Monday, according to the McHenry Police Department.

Micahel A. Damore, 27, has been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers stopped Damore in his vehicle Monday near the intersection of West Route 120 and Chapel Hill Road, according to a news release. They found 7 grams of cocaine, 1 gram of psilocybin mushrooms, 326 grams of marijuana, and $3,320 in cash.

The drugs were valued at more than $7,000, the release states. His vehicle, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, also was seized.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
