CRYSTAL LAKE – Anyone who is looking to move into a promising career in manufacturing may consider new job training opportunities in the areas of robotics, industrial maintenance technology and computer numerical controlled machining.

McHenry County College now offers a Computer Numerical Controlled Machining Program certificate, Robotics System Programmer certificate and an Industrial Maintenance Technology Program certificate (coming in summer 2014).

Those who have lost employment due to company closure or layoffs (trade adjustment) may be eligible for tuition assistance through the Trade Adjustment Assistance Grant.

For information or eligibility requirements, call Thomas Faber at the McHenry County Workforce Network at 815-338-7100, ext. 276.

These programs are a joint effort between the Illinois Network for Advanced Manufacturing and McHenry County College.

For information, call Lori Smyth at 815-479-7831.
