MCC to offer computer skills series

CRYSTAL LAKE  – The McHenry County College Workforce Community and Business Programs offers hands-on computer training with access to up-to-date techniques and standards.

The following courses are available in Microsoft Office 2010, including  Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Registration is available for individual skill level courses at $155 each or with a 15 percent discount for the entire series of a specific software. 

• 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 2 and 9: Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Series: Basic. PowerPoint enables users to quickly create high-impact, dynamic presentations, while integrating workflow and ways to easily share information. Additional series dates include the Advanced class Nov. 6 and 13. Series cost: $263. Register using course ID: NTC C09 002.

• 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11: MS Excel 2010 Series kicks off with the Basic class. Microsoft Excel is a powerful tool for users to create and format spreadsheets, and analyze and share information to make more informed decisions. Additional series courses include Intermediate Oct. 18 and 25 and Advanced on Nov. 8 and 15. Series cost: $395. Register using course ID: NTC C05 002.

• 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 8 and 15: Microsoft Word 2010: Basic class. Microsoft Word is a powerful authoring program that gives one the ability to create and share documents by combining a comprehensive set of writing tools.  The series continues with the Intermediate Word class Nov. 7 and 14 and the Advanced Word on Dec. 3 and 10. Series cost: $395. Register using course ID: NTC C19 002.

• 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1: Microsoft Access 2010: Basic class. A relational database system that helps one track and report information with ease. The Access series continues with an Intermediate Access class on Nov. 11 and Advanced Access  on Dec. 20. Series cost: $395. Register using course ID: NTC C10 002.
