Free 'Aging Well' seminar series offered in Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE – Park Place Banquets, a Crystal Lake Park District facility, and Elderwerks have teamed up to present a free seminar series, "Aging Well."

Seminars will take place at Park Place, 406 W. Woodstock St, Crystal Lake.

• Monday: 10:30 a.m. "Retirement Planning," presented by Shaun Eck, Fifth Third Securities. 6 p.m. "Right Sizing Your Home," presented by Jennifer Prell, Paxem Inc., and Holly Kelps, Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell.

• Sept. 30: 10:30 a.m. "Tips to Enhance Your Memory," presented by Deana Behn Liss, Three Oaks Assisted Living. 6 p.m. "Difference Between Alzheimer’s and Dementia," presented by Dr. Joshua LaVigne, NeuroClinic and Assessments.

• Oct. 7: 10:30 a.m. "How to Use Social Media," presented by Judy West, JMK Simple Solutions. 6 p.m. "Succession Planning," presented by Andrew Holstine of Zukowski, Rogers, Flood & McArdle.

• Oct. 21: 10:30 a.m. "iPhone and iPad Basics," presented by Judy West of JMK Simple Solutions. 6 p.m. "Veteran’s Aid and Attendance Benefit," presented by Jennifer Prell, Elderwerks.

• Oct. 28: 10:30 a.m. "Aging Well, Exercise and Diet." 6 p.m. "Long-Term Care Insurance Benefits," presented by Shaun Eck, Fifth Third Securities.
