CARY – Firefighters responded to a burning power line in Cary Thursday.
Around 9:30 a.m. the Cary Fire Protection District arrived at 714 Three Oaks Rd. after a passerby reported the flames.
Cary Fire Protection District Lieutenant Andrew Veath said that the fire “looks worse than it is,” and that no one living near the power line was in danger.
Veath said that the fire department was monitoring the burning power line in case a tree limb fell or the line snapped. The department was waiting on ComEd to turn off the power before extinguishing the fire, Veath said.
