Published: Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 10:52 p.m. CDT

CRYSTAL LAKE – Current and prospective McHenry County College students are invited to attend two upcoming events to find out more about transfer opportunities.

The events are the Private Illinois Colleges and Universities Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and the State University Transfer Day Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 3 at the college, 8900 Route 14.

The Private Illinois Colleges and Universities Fair will feature more than 25 private colleges in Illinois, and the State University Transfer Day Fair will include Illinois public universities.

These events provide the opportunity for students who are preparing to transfer to a four-year college or university to meet with representatives. College representatives will be available to answer questions on degree programs, admission criteria, the application process and financial aid.

Students may bring a copy of their college transcript for review. Many of the colleges participating have transfer agreements in place with MCC.

For information, visit www.mchenry.edu/picu and www.mchenry.edu/transferday.

The annual MCC College Fair for high school students and their parents, as well as current college students, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 3 at MCC. Representatives from over 140 colleges and universities will attend.

For information on the fairs, call Laurie Cubit at 815-455-8792. For information on College Fair 2013, call Kellie Carper at 815-455-8670.
